End of Support for SQL Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2008 R2

Begin preparing now for the end of SQL Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2008 R2 support.

Microsoft will end all support (including security patches, updates and technical assistance) for SQL Server 2008 R2 on July 9, 2019 and Windows Server 2008 R2 on January 14, 2020.

Continuing to use systems that are no longer supported with security patches will put your organization at-risk and violates HIPAA compliance requirements to protect devices against malicious software.

eMDs will discontinue testing our software and applications in SQL Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2008 R2 environments, and therefore will not be able to support clients using these environments.

eMDs will end support of SQL Server 2008 R2 on July 9, 2019 and Windows Server 2008 R2 on January 1, 2020.
