Announcements

Login Security

Enhanced login security by enforcing password resets for all new users across PM, EHR, Clearinghouse and Billing platforms, including original super users and super users.

HL7 inbound message

Previously, upon receiving HL7 inbound messages from external systems, our system sent duplicate ACK messages. This issue has now been fixed to consistently send a single ACK message to the originating system.

Report Updates

New features have been added to analysis grid customization options. When adding formulas a select list is now available for the supported formulas and supported operations. When adding graphics (e.g. Bar Charts) users may now customize formatting of labels on graphics (e.g. bold, color).

NextGen® Office EHR Improvements

EHR Orders

In the EHR Orders UI, there were issues where users were unable to access lab result images, PDFs, or TIFFs. Users can now select Launch URL to open a new tab displaying the order results.

EHR Pharmacy Alerts

Users were unable to approve or deny pharmacy requests in the EHR Pharmacy Alerts > Pharmacy Messages UI due to some pharmacies sending invalid data in the message. This is now fixed.

Encounter Notes Data

We have fixed an issue where Encounter Notes data would not save if the user navigated to another tab from unsaved notes. A warning message now alerts users: "Page notes have not been saved. Click 'OK' to proceed and lose any unsaved data, or click 'Cancel' to return and save your notes."

MIPS Updates

The MIPS Dashboard was updated to reflect the 2024 reporting requirements. When attesting to Promoting Interoperability, a 180-day minimum reporting period is now required. The SAFER Guide requirement was added to the Promoting Interoperability onscreen help.  When creating a new reporting period, users will be advised if the reporting period start date is a past date, and that a case will need to be opened to recalculate the Promoting Interoperability metrics from that start date.

NextGen® Office Patient Portal Improvements

Patient Portal Password Reset

Password reset security has been enhanced for patient portal users by adding a self-service password reset option under the Forgot Password link in the login page. This process sends a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) code to their registered primary device (mobile number or email ID). If a user is not registered for MFA, a code will be sent to the email ID associated with their patient portal account.

Note: Users will be blocked for 30 minutes if they enter the incorrect MFA code three times.
