NextGen Office EHR Practice Management Enhancements

 

Transaction Reporting System Update 

We fixed an issue in the transaction reporting system, which now accurately reflect adjustment reversals and align with the AR Rollforward Report. Users are advised to re-run their transaction-based reports. 

 

Report Date of Service Improvements

We fixed a report issue where the date of service was converting the date/time of the encounter based on the computers timezone. Now all encounter reports reflect the date of service based on the encounter location time zone. This issue mainly impacted encounters created with a timestamp around midnight pacific time.

 

Claims with Incomplete Service Lines 

Users can now edit the claims that have missing service lines. We have removed the Ignore and Proceed option to ensure users will not be able to submit claims with incomplete service lines.

 

NextGen® Office EHR Enhancements

 

Encounter View Permissions

We fixed an issue where users without View permissions were be able to view encounters in Open Encounters.

ABN (Advance Beneficiary Notice) form update

Updated ABN form that is generated by NextGen Office during the lab ordering process. The new version expires January 31, 2026

 

CMS122 Diabetes: Hemoglobin A1c

We fixed an issue for inbound order results with LOINC codes from the CMS122 Diabetes: Hemoglobin A1c value set that were not being included in the measure calculation. This issue was resolved by adjusting the code logic to account for LOINC codes with dashes, ensuring that relevant lab orders are included in the measure calculation.
 

NextGen® Office HL7 Improvements

 

 

Inbound search page and JSON payload acknowledgment messages

Following changes were made to the Admin: Inbound search screen:
  • UI Corrections.
  • JSON payload acknowledgment messages.
  • Subscriber gender not found.
  • Patient Ethnicity not found.
  • Patient Race not found.

Inbound HL7 Enhancements

We have updated our system to handle and find patients even if the values in PID Segment 4.1 & 3.1, SIU appointment and DFT charge/claim are not swapped.

 

Chart Number for New Patients  

We fixed an issue where the chart number will be auto generated while registering a new patient through HL7.

 

Inbound ADT messages 

We have fixed the issue where, the inbound ADT HL7 patient demographic messages were failing with the 'Invalid File Format' exception error when External ID of the guarantor was empty.

 

Internal Data Testing Tool for Immunizations

We have fixed our internal testing tool that is used for bulk export of historical immunization data administered by the practice.
